guana Removal in Hollywood, FL

Hollywood's beaches, golf courses, and waterfront neighborhoods make it one of Broward County's most desirable places to live — and prime habitat for invasive iguanas. From Hollywood Beach and the Broadwalk to the canals around Emerald Hills and the Diplomat area, iguanas burrow into seawalls, nest in tropical landscaping, and claim pools and patios across the city. Left alone, a few visitors become a colony, and the damage adds up fast.

## Why Iguanas Thrive in Hollywood

The city is built on water and green space: the Intracoastal Waterway, miles of canals, golf courses like the ones around Hillcrest and Orangebrook, and the lush plantings that line Hollywood Boulevard. Female iguanas dig nesting burrows in sandy soil, mulch beds, and canal banks, each clutch hatching dozens of young. Their tunnels erode canal banks and undermine seawalls, walkways, and pool decks, while feeding damage strips gardens and ornamental plantings bare. For homeowners, condos, and HOAs, it is a year-round problem.

## How It Works

Every job starts with a free assessment. A trained technician walks your property, identifies active iguanas, nesting zones, and burrow systems, and explains exactly what the job will take. Where it is safe and legal, quiet air rifles are used — silent, accurate, and the industry-standard humane method. Around buildings, glass, pools, or occupied areas, live traps, nets, and other capture systems do the job. Because iguanas are an invasive species in Florida, catch-and-release is illegal; removed animals must be euthanized humanely.
